I’ve had the pleasure of teaching our Palliative Care Chaplaincy Specialty Certificate course to hundreds of chaplains just like you over the last year. Students have said this course teaches the foundational knowledge to work as a palliative care chaplain.

We’ve listened and are pleased to announce the all new Advanced Spirituality in Palliative Care Certificate course.
The Advanced course builds upon learning done in the Foundational Course by focusing on analysis and synthesis, including developing new programs, applying expertise in a variety of settings, situations, and teams; mentoring and teaching as appropriate novice level practitioners as appropriate.

The Advanced Palliative Care Chaplaincy Specialty Certificate curriculum provides an enhanced knowledge base in order to improve the quality of the spiritual care delivered to patients and families and develop expertise as an advance level palliative care chaplain.
The course is fully online and easily accessible. It allows chaplains greater flexibility in balancing work responsibilities with furthering their education. Additionally, the interactive nature of the online discussions affords participants with a greater understanding of palliative care delivery in different care settings.
The readings were very exciting and interesting. It was so refreshing to read new and unusual assessment and screening prompts beyond the usual MD designed ones that keep being talked about at hospice and palliative care conferences (FICA, SPIRIT).
