Two Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Care Received “Lights of LightBridge” Award
CSU Shiley Institute for Palliative Care’s Helen McNeal and LightBridge Hospice and Palliative Care’s, Peggy Davis Recognized for Contributions
The LightBridge Hospice Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that fulfills special requests for hospice patients and their loved ones, held its annual celebration of inspirational people on Friday, July 11 at Old Poway Park. The “Lights of LightBridge” raised nearly $30,000 for the organization’s programs that enhance the end-of-life journey with 200 people signed up to support.
As part of the evening festivities, Helen McNeal, Executive Director of California State University Shiley Institute for Palliative Care and Peggy Davis, LightBridge Hospice volunteer representing the Pet Therapy Program for LightBridge Hospice, received the “Lights of LightBridge” award for their steadfast commitment to shedding light on the lives of others.
