- Earlybird Pre-symposium Workshops, $120 (Space is limited for pre-symposium workshops).
- Four workshops are planned, two designated by the planning committee and two from submissions from the symposium participants. Workshops will address teaching, research and practice content.
- Each workshop awards 2-3 continuing education credits; full schedule will be available in November.
- Earlybird Main Symposium, $425
- Includes all symposium plenary sessions and breakouts, breakfast and lunch daily, poster sessions, and exhibitor reception, and continuing education credits (TBD).
- Both Pre-symposium Workshops and Main Symposium, $545

Student Reduced Rates
Students who are enrolled in academic degree programs only are eligible for the student reduced rate. Students will need to provide information about their degree programs when registering.

Presenter
$340.00. Registration link will be issued to presenters upon acceptance of proposal.

Not reimbursed or sponsored by your employer for Continuing Education?
We have a limited amount of funding available for full scholarships to the Symposium for attendees, in particular social workers, chaplains, whose organizations do not cover professional education, and early-career faculty. Scholarship covers the cost of main symposium registration only; you will have to cover your own travel and accommodations. Scholarship attendees may attend the Pre-Symposium Workshops at a reduced rate. Scholarship Applications are due no later than November 1st, 2023; award recipients will be notified by November 15th. Funds will be awarded until the funds are exhausted. Complete the Scholarship Application Form here.
Payment
Payment is with credit card: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. If you are making a credit card payment from a country outside the United States, for security reasons you must first advise your banking institution of the impending charge and authorize them to allow the charge to the USA to go through.
An automatic confirmation email will be sent to you upon completion of your registration.

Refunds and Cancellation
If you are unable to attend the Symposium, you must make send written notice of your withdrawal via email to the Institute at pcsymposium@csusm.edu at least three business days before the first day of the event (February 7, 2024) for a full refund. Refunds or transfers will not be issued after the Symposium begins or if you have accessed the event handouts online at any time. Registrations are nontransferable. Refunds will be issued 30–45 days following the Symposium.
Photography
By attending the Symposium, you acknowledge that photographs and/or videos of you may be taken by our symposium staff and/or photographers at any time. Furthermore, you grant the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care permission to use photographs and/or video of your likeness in any type of media, including websites and print publications, without compensation or reward.
Disability Accommodations or Special Needs
Individuals with disabilities, who would like to attend this event, please contact the Symposium Coordinator at pcsymposium@csusm.edu regarding any special accommodation needs. It is requested that anyone who requires auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters and alternative format materials notify the event sponsor at least seven business days in advance. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodations in an effective and timely manner.
