Palliative Training for Physician Assistants

PAs are a natural fit for providing hospice and palliative care. They work as trusted clinicians to deliver compassionate care to patients and families at every stage of health, including serious illness. Delivering care focused on addressing the physical and psychosocial symptoms of serious illness requires a deeper level of training. This 12-week course prepares PAs in any practice setting to deliver high-quality palliative care to individuals with chronic or advanced illnesses. An innovative format combines comprehensive self-paced didactic content with weekly live-online Grand Rounds sessions for case presentations and discussion. (Students must attend at least 9 of 12 live sessions to earn CME.)
