The 2nd National Symposium for Palliative Care Education and Research is being held on the California State University San Marcos Campus, University Student Union, 2nd floor Ballrooms and adjoining reception and outdoor event space. Suggested parking is in the CSUSM Parking Garage or Lot N; rate information may be found HERE.
The campus address is 333 S. Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos, CA 92096. It can be accessed through major freeways 15 or 5 to Highway 78. Exit from 78 onto the Twin Oaks Valley Road exit, then south on Twin Oaks Valley Road to Craven Drive, left into campus.
The University Student Union (USU) building will house registration, all plenary sessions, meals and the reception with poster displays. Walk to the USU on the ground level from the parking lot or structure and go up to the 2nd floor lobby for registration and check-in.

Parking on Campus
Parking on campus is provided in the CSUSM Parking Garage or Lot N. Roads coming into the campus will have directional signage to help you find these lots, they are side by side. A machine for purchasing parking permits is in Lot N and takes cash or debit/credit card. A one day permit is $9. More parking and rate information may be found HERE.
CSU system-wide permits are honored in non-restricted spaces in Lot N and Parking Structure 1. Parking ticketing and towing is in effect for CSU-permitted vehicles parked in restricted areas and non-permitted vehicles.

Individuals with disabilities, who would like to attend this event, please contact the Symposium Coordinator at 760-750-7289 regarding any special accommodation needs. It is requested that individuals requiring auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters and alternative format materials notify the event sponsor at least seven working days in advance. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodations in an effective and timely manner.

Air Travel to San Diego
San Diego’s Lindbergh International Airport is located in downtown San Diego, and is recommended for your arrival from major airports. Rental car agencies are near the airport, providing shuttle service for pickup from the terminals. Taxis are also available from the airport, as well as shared ride services such as SuperShuttle. Public transportation includes a city bus, route 992, that takes passengers from the airport to the downtown rail station, the historic Santa Fe Station. The Coaster commuter train carries passengers to Oceanside, which then connects to the Sprinter commuter train which carries passengers inland to San Marcos, making daytime stops at the CSUSM campus.
