Palliative Care Education Scholarships for San Diego County Healthcare Professionals
Scholarships Celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care Month
To celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care month in November, each year the California State University Shiley Institute for Palliative Care awards $25,000 in scholarships for palliative care education to nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other health professionals working in San Diego County.
These Donald and Darlene Marcos Shiley Scholarships, good for the full cost of enrollment in any institute course, are funded by San Diego philanthropist Darlene Marcos Shiley to provide training that can enhance care and improve quality of life for vulnerable patients and families in the San Diego region.
